Medivent Grand

The Medivent Grand is a complete Anaesthesia Workstation with high-end features and modern ventilation capabilities. Safety considerations have been given utmost priority while designing the unit. The Hypoxic Guard ensures FGF to contain at least 25% oxygen. The protection against oxygen failure activates a system to cut off the flow of N20 and provide warning with a visual flash and an audio alarm. Special care has been given so that the unit with its inbuilt ventilator can be operated at a Fresh Gas Flow as low as 500 ml per minute! The inbuilt ventilator includes the advanced PRVC mode, which combines the advantages of both pressure-controlled and volume-controlled ventilation to protect the patient's lungs from barotrauma while trying to provide the desired tidal volume. The process involves applying the minimum pressure that would be required to deliver the target volume. Most importantly, the tidal volume is delivered after correcting for the loss due to circuit compliance. Moreover, the Tidal volume does not vary with fresh gas flow as it employs the technique of FGF Decoupling during the inspiratory phase. Dynamic compliance compensation is another feature that makes it more advanced in approach and technology. The ventilator makes breath to breath correction of tidal volume to compensate for changes in lung characteristics. The unit is compact in size and occupies less floor space.
